Quality QR vs Pageloot

Pageloot gives paying teams more codes per plan, longer scan history and a one-time lifetime deal. Quality QR keeps a free plan with no end date, shows device data on that free plan, and puts 5 team seats on Business at €10/mo. Every Pageloot fact on this page links to Pageloot's own site, checked 10 Oct 2026.

The bottom line

Pageloot and Quality QR solve the same problem with different models. Pageloot sells four paid plans after a 14-day trial, and its FAQ is plain about what happens when a subscription stops: "Your QR codes will become inactive after your plan has expired." Quality QR starts with a free plan that has no end date (1 dynamic and 5 static codes, scan analytics and 100 API requests a month), then Pro at €5/mo and Business at €10/mo. Pageloot is the better fit if you need hundreds of dynamic codes, analytics history beyond a year, pay by invoice or live chat, or if you would rather pay once: its lifetime deal starts at €197 and keeps codes live with no subscription. Quality QR is the better fit if you want a dynamic code that never needs a subscription, device analytics without Pageloot's Pro plan (€36/month billed yearly), API access on every plan, or vCard, Wi-Fi, event and SMS codes that work with no server in between. For teams the trade is price against volume: Quality QR Business gives 5 seats and 100 dynamic codes for €10/month, while on Pageloot's Pro plan, 3 seats, 1 custom domain and 300 dynamic codes cost €36/month billed yearly (€150 on monthly billing).

What happens when a Pageloot plan or trial ends

Pageloot's pricing FAQ answers this directly: "Your QR codes will become inactive after your plan has expired. If you need to access the statistics or edit your QR codes, you just have to renew your subscription." Its comparison pages say the same in other words, describing dynamic codes that "require an active plan to remain functional". The 14-day trial works the same way: there is no free plan for dynamic codes to fall back to, and Pageloot's dynamic QR page says that to create one "you need to sign up for an account and choose a paid plan."

Two exceptions keep the picture fair. Static codes from Pageloot's free generator need no account and carry their content in the pattern, so no plan can switch them off. And Pageloot sells a lifetime deal: one payment of €197, €297 or €897, with Starter, Premium or Pro limits and no subscription, which its comparison pages describe as keeping dynamic codes live. It is sold in a limited number of licences.

On Quality QR, the Free plan is not a trial. Its 1 dynamic and 5 static codes have no end date, keep scan analytics with 7 days of history and come with 100 API requests a month, with no card on file.

Static codes, hosted pages and what works offline

A static QR code stores its content in the printed pattern. A dynamic code stores a short link that a server redirects, which is what makes editing and scan counts possible, and also what makes the code depend on an account. Quality QR makes vCard contacts, Wi-Fi logins, calendar events, SMS, email, phone and text codes static: the phone reads the contact or network details straight from the pattern, with no server and no subscription in between.

Pageloot's plan table lists vCard, App Store and link-in-bio codes as a "QR page" on every plan, a mobile page served by Pageloot. That allows things a pattern cannot hold, such as photos and buttons. It also means a business card printed with a vCard code from a Pageloot plan depends on that plan staying active, while a Quality QR vCard keeps working whatever happens to any account.

For links that may change, dynamic is still the right choice on both platforms. Use static for anything that should outlive a subscription: the Wi-Fi sign on a café wall, the contact code on a printed card.

Analytics: what each plan shows

Pageloot's plan table shows country data on every plan, city data from Premium (€12/month billed yearly) and device data only on Pro and Agency. Quality QR shows scan counts, device type, browser, operating system and country on every plan, Free included; the city and region views, the heatmap and CSV or PDF export are on Business at €10/mo.

History is where Pageloot is ahead. Its plan table lists 60 days of analytics on Starter, 120 days on Premium, 1 year on Pro and unlimited on Agency, and its plan cards and comparison pages go further, describing unlimited scan history on every plan. Quality QR keeps 7 days on Free, 30 days on Pro and 1 year on Business. If you report year over year, that difference matters more than the device breakdown.

Seats and the API

Quality QR Business includes 5 team seats for €10/month (€96/year billed yearly). Pageloot's seats grow with its plans: 1 on Starter, 2 on Premium, 3 on Pro and 5 on Agency, and its comparison pages list 1 custom domain on Pro. On Pageloot, 3 seats cost €36/month billed yearly on Pro (€150 on monthly billing), and Pageloot's Agency plan, with 5 seats, starts from €99/month billed yearly (€400 on monthly billing).

API access is on every Quality QR plan: 100 requests a month on Free, 1,000 on Pro and 10,000 on Business. Pageloot's pricing table has no API row; its comparison pages list API access on Pro, and its Enterprise tier lists "Custom integrations, API & MCP". So a developer can try Quality QR's API without paying, while on Pageloot, API access needs the Pageloot Pro plan (€36/month billed yearly).

Get scanned, not scammed

QR fraud, often called quishing, usually needs no hacking at all. Someone prints a code, sticks it over a real one on a parking meter, a restaurant table or a poster, and sends scanners to a look-alike payment or login page. Pageloot's security guide describes the same sticker attack, and the defences are much the same whichever generator made the code.

No QR platform can stop a sticker. What it can do is make tampering easier to spot and faster to undo. On both platforms a dynamic code can be switched off or pointed somewhere safe from the dashboard within seconds, and scan data can show a covered code as a sudden drop in scans at that spot. On Quality QR, device, browser, OS and country data come with the Free plan, and Business adds scan alerts: email warnings when a code's scans pass a threshold you set, checked every 5 minutes.

For the people scanning, the habits are simple: read the web address in the camera preview before opening it, be suspicious of any code that asks for a card number or a password, and look for a sticker pasted over another print. Businesses help them by putting codes where they are hard to cover and checking them on a routine.

Where Pageloot is stronger

Code volume. Pageloot's plans hold 15, 60, 300 and 1,500 dynamic codes; Quality QR holds 1 on Free, 10 on Pro and 100 on Business. If you run hundreds of codes, Pageloot's Pro plan carries 300 for €36/month billed yearly, three times our Business allowance.

History and payment. Pageloot keeps longer analytics (see above), lets Pro and Agency customers pay by invoice, and lists live chat on Premium and higher plans. Quality QR has no pay-by-invoice option and no live chat; support is by email, with priority on Pro and dedicated support on Business.

Paying once. The lifetime deal (€197, €297 or €897 one-time, with Starter, Premium or Pro limits) has no Quality QR equivalent. If you want Pageloot's limits and never want another bill, it is a reasonable choice. Pageloot also offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, smart routing and geofencing on Pro, and A/B testing that, per its dynamic QR page, tests destinations on the same code.

Pageloot also lists a custom logo on every plan, from Starter at €7/month billed yearly; Quality QR's logo upload starts on Pro.

Quality QR vs Pageloot: Common questions

What happens to my Pageloot QR codes when my plan or trial ends?▾

Pageloot's FAQ says: "Your QR codes will become inactive after your plan has expired." Statistics and editing come back if you renew. Static codes made with its free generator are not affected, and its lifetime deal (from €197 one-time) keeps dynamic codes live without a subscription. On Quality QR, the Free plan's 1 dynamic and 5 static codes have no end date.

Does Pageloot have a free plan?▾

Not for dynamic codes. Pageloot offers a 14-day trial, and its own comparison pages say it "has no free plan, but offers a free static QR code generator". That generator makes unlimited static codes without an account. Quality QR's Free plan includes 1 dynamic code with analytics, 5 static codes and 100 API requests a month, with no trial period.

Is Quality QR cheaper than Pageloot?▾

Per plan, yes. Quality QR Pro is €5/month and Business is €10/month. Pageloot's plans cost €7, €12, €36 and from €99 a month billed yearly, or €30, €90, €150 and €400 on monthly billing. Pageloot includes more dynamic codes at each step (15 to 1,500 against our 10 and 100), so compare the cost of the codes and seats you actually need.

Which plans include device analytics?▾

Device data is listed only on Pageloot's Pro (€36/month billed yearly) and Agency plans; its country data is on every plan and city data starts with Premium. On Quality QR, every plan, Free included, shows device type, browser, operating system and country, while the city and region views are on Business.

Does Pageloot have an API?▾

Pageloot's pricing table has no API row. Its comparison pages list API access as included on Pro, and its Enterprise tier lists "Custom integrations, API & MCP". Quality QR includes REST API access on every plan: 100 requests a month on Free, 1,000 on Pro and 10,000 on Business.

How do I protect printed QR codes from fake stickers?▾

No generator can stop someone pasting a fake code over yours, so place codes where they are hard to cover, check them on a schedule and use dynamic codes you can switch off or repoint at once. On Quality QR, falling scans at one location are visible on every plan, and Business adds daily scan alerts. Tell scanners to check the address in the camera preview before they pay or log in.
