QR code analytics platforms have a long history of over-collecting. The default in the industry is to fingerprint scanners across codes, sell aggregate behavioral data to third parties, and treat user privacy as a checkbox on a settings page. Quality QR is designed differently. Each scan records timestamp, country and city derived from IP, device family (phone, tablet, desktop), browser, and operating system. We do not store full IP addresses after geolocation lookup, we do not assign persistent identifiers to scanners, we do not track users across QR codes, and we do not sell data to anyone. The platform is GDPR and CCPA compliant by default rather than as an add-on, with a documented data retention schedule (7 days on free, 30 days on Pro, 1 year on Business) and a one-click data deletion path for any user or organization that asks. EU data residency is available for customers in regulated industries. If your campaign cannot collect any analytics at all, you can disable scan tracking entirely on a per-code basis and the redirect still works at full speed.
